MARIAH RYAN, LOWER ELEMENTARY
Mariah joined the BMS family in 2023, serving lunch and smiles to children of all ages around the school. She was born and raised in Washington, Indiana and is passionate about working in kitchens with good vibes, having worked in local restaurants around the area. She’s married with three wonderful children of a wide variety of ages and two dogs. Her hobbies include baking, cooking, reading, painting, crafting, and nature around Bloomington.
AVA MCCLAFLIN, LOWER ELEMENTARY
Ava McClaflin is a student at Indiana University studying Political Science and Entrepreneurship.
She fell in love with Bloomington when she moved here to begin her undergraduate studies, and now she contributes to our community through volunteer work at the library and other local charitable organizations.
She loves working with children and enjoys hearing about their imaginations and helping them express themselves. Ava is excited to work with the Bloomington Montessori School and to build relationships with her colleagues and students.
Ava’s hobbies include painting, sewing, reading, puzzling, and cooking with her husband.
NOLA CUSACK, LOWER ELEMENTARY
Nola is going into his senior year at Bloomington high school south and graduated from BMS in 2021. Nola’s hobbies include playing violin, practicing taekwondo, hanging out with friends, and of course spending time at aftercare with kids! Nola plans to continue his education at Indiana University.
LYDIA MCCRAY, UPPER ELEMENTARY
Lydia McCray became a member of the BMS staff in 2022, where she began working as a substitute.
She is passionate about building meaningful relationships and lasting connections with children and values the Montessori philosophy for its ability to inspire a love of learning.
Lydia is grateful for the opportunity to encourage and support children in their educational journey.
Lydia spends much of her time exercising, hiking and listening to a variety of music. She also offers child and pet care services to the BMS community and alumni outside of school hours.
LANDRY PACE, UPPER ELEMENTARY
Landrey Pace is a junior at Indiana University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She joined Bloomington Montessori as an Assistant Teacher because of her passion for working with children and her excitement to gain hands-on classroom experience while preparing for a career in education.
Landrey enjoys helping students grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity each day. She loves building relationships with children and believes that creating a warm, encouraging classroom helps students feel comfortable taking on new challenges. She is grateful for the opportunity to learn from the experienced teachers at Bloomington Montessori while continuing to grow as an educator.
Outside of school, Landrey enjoys singing, crocheting, reading, spending time with family and friends, and discovering new coffee shops around Bloomington. She also loves spending time with her cats, and is excited to be part of the Bloomington Montessori community.
