PAOLA TAVAREZ, UPPER ELEMENTARY LEAD


Paola has been a member of the BMS family since 2022. She comes from Miami, FL where she studied English Literature and Elementary Education at Miami Dade College. She also obtained her diploma in French Baking & Patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in 2012. Paola has 2 published works of bilingual poetry. She enjoys both practicing and teaching Spanish language, fiber arts, and the joys of creative writing.

Paola teaches Spanish language and culture to all BMS students. She introduces students to Spanish language concepts, vocabulary, Spanish music, and poetry. Her classes expose students to the unique cultural diversity of individual Spanish-speaking countries, the differing vocabularies amongst those countries, and the rich histories of the Latin American and Hispanic worlds.

LYNDSEY TAYLOR, LOWER ELEMENTARY LEAD


Lyndsey Taylor is an assistant teacher in the Sweetgum classroom, and has worked at BMS since 2017. She has her Bachelor’s degree in General Studies and an Associate’s degree in Library Sciences. Providing access to books and information is an invaluable aspect of learning, and she hopes to use her library background to help guide those who are curious to their answers and interests. She loves working with the children and teachers in the Sweetgum classroom, and the community they build together year after year. In her free time, she can be found playing board games with friends, practicing guitar, or tending to her numerous house plants.

MARC SOSA, LOWER ELEMENTARY ASSISTANT


Marc Sosa is a parent of a current student and has been a member of the BMS family since 2022.

He is the Lower Elementary Aftercare Assistant and began his time at BMS as a substitute teacher. He enjoys playing guitar for the students and playing strategy board games.

TALIYA HOLMES


Taliya Holmes recently moved to Indiana from Maryland, where she worked as an Assistant Learning Service Coordinator at a private school. She is excited to join the Bloomington Montessori School community and looks forward to gaining new experiences. Taliya is passionate about supporting each learner and hopes to build strong, lasting connections with students, parents, and faculty throughout the year.

She believes that all children deserve a degree of free will and is eager to see this philosophy in action during her first experience working in a Montessori environment. In her free time, Taliya enjoys working on puzzles, spending time with family and friends, and hiking at McCormick’s Creek.
