Parent Forum: Montessori in the Home
Join us on Nov. 28 and Dec. 12 for a two-part workshop on Montessori in the Home, about creating a supportive home environment using Montessori methods and philosophy. The workshop, presented by Bloomington Family Wellness, are designed for families with children ages 3 to 6 years old, with sessions on Nov. 28 and Dec. 12 from 5:30 to 7:30. Light dinner and childcare will be provided.
The cost of the workshop series is $30 per family. This fee, payable in the Main Office by cash or check made out to Bloomington Montessori School, includes the workshop and materials as well as childcare and dinner. If this amount is prohibitive for your family, please reach out to Roger Meridith in person or by email at email@example.com.
Registration is open now, using the link below. Families should plan to attend both sessions. Up to 12 families may participate. Please register and pay by November 16.
Wheeler Mission Share Closet Complete!
The Sycamore class has finished installing and stocking the shelves at Wheeler Mission, transforming a portion of the building to a little “shop” that provides the women, children and men who are using the temporary shelter with clothing, shoes, winter wear and other essential items. All the students worked very hard and enthusiastically, both in class and at Wheeler Mission, planning, organizing, assembling shelves, and making wonderful art for the walls of the shop.
The Sycamore Class continues to accept donations of gloves, hats, socks, and coats in women’s, men’s, and all children’s sizes. If you would like to donate, please send clothing here until November 16th and place in the collection bins of each building.
Thank you to all who donated items, chaperoned, and otherwise supported the project!
