BMS Logowear

In January, BMS will launch an online store, where you can purchase t-shirts, sweatshirts, fleeces and hats with the BMS regular and 50th anniversary logos. Your purchase will raise funds for the school and let Bloomington know you love BMS!

Re-Enrollment Season Begins

Watch this newsletter and your email for information about meetings and due dates.

First, please take fifteen minutes over the holidays to read the newly updated Parent Handbook. This is located in the Parent Portal. Lots of excellent, important information. If you can quote to me aloud Article III, Section 1, Part IV, paragraphs 4 and 5, you will receive 2 parent work hours.

Next up is the meeting on January 9 for Early Childhood program parents who are considering or committed to enrolling your child(ren) in the Elementary program. The only parents who should not attend are those of you who know for certain you are leaving Bloomington before 1st grade. Everyone else should attend. You will receive information about the curriculum and our school, as well as vital enrollment information.

January 16 is an Open House for Parents and Children who would like to enroll in 1st grade. If you came to the meeting on the 9th, come to this one as well, visit the Lower Elementary classrooms and see how exciting 1stgrade will be!

Letters of Intent to enroll in 1st grade in the fall of 2019 are due in the office on January 18.

Bake Sale Success

The bake sale held by the Lower Elementary Classes earlier this week raised over $950! And it was yummy, too—a win/win situation. Funds will be used to purchase food items that MCUM has specified are needed for their food pantry. Thanks to all who organized, baked and ate.

Annual Appeal Update

Thank you so much, all of you who have donated thus far to the annual appeal!

Our goal for the annual appeal is 100% participation, from Board members, Staff and Faculty, and Families, donating the amount that best suits you. Today’s participation rates:

100% of Board members

50% of Staff and Faculty

20% of Families

Will you join us?

Bring in your gift to the office, either cash or check, or donate securely online through our website (www.bloomingtonmontessori.org)

Gifts postmarked by Dec. 31 can be considered a tax-deductible donation for the 2018 tax year.

Our goal for the Annual Fund—which comprises all the monetary contributions made to BMS over the school year, from Dine Outs and Shopping Opportunities to the Fun Run and the Annual Appeal—is $50,000. With your help we can do it!

Thank you for your generosity.
